Grinds for Change, is an initiative of Ecotwist Labs to collaborate with other stakeholders to bring down unemployment level in underserved, minority communities.
It is about empowering the low-skilled workers who are currently unemployed in the communities to think different. Unemployment level in these communities is much higher than the national average.
Teaching the unemployed green and entrepreneurship skills will help prepare them to seize opportunities in the growing market of locally-sourced, locally-made and “Made in USA” products. They will learn to recycle and reuse food waste into natural, chemical-free, and sustainable products.
Reducing unemployment is a shared responsibility.
Information about of how this project works, partnerships and collaboration opportunities will be available soon. In the meantime, check back, bookmark this site, or send us your questions via email.
